Posted 30/06/2015

Five local action groups (LAGs) operating across all of rural Norfolk and north Suffolk are ready to talk to prospective applicants about funding new ideas. The LEADER programme is due to be launched at the Norfolk Show at 3.30pm on Wednesday 1st July by David Hill (Chair of Brecks Local Action Group).

Awarded £9m funding from the EU’s Rural Development Programme, LAGs, representing private businesses, communities, and local authorities, are keen to hear about activities which can stimulate the Norfolk economy.

Funding will be available from Autumn 2015, and aims to support economic growth activities, such as increasing farm productivity, supporting new and existing micro and small rural businesses, culture and heritage activity, rural services, tourism and forestry.

The launch event happens on Wednesday 1st July at 3.30pm so please drop by and celebrate with us on Avenue 6, Stand 170.
